MH40

Good day gentleman. Today I am writing about a very special pair of headphones I believe you should consider purchasing. Let me start by saying that I have never been an advocate of chunky headphones but this particular pair may have changed my mind. Master & Dynamic have popped onto the scene quite suddenly, and if these beauties (MH40) are anything to go by they are definitely here to stay. These headphones offer some grown up luxe to the headphone market. Perfect for sitting back and listening to your favourite tracks in your coffee shop of choice on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Pair these bad boys with a cashmere hoodie, fitted chinos and your favourite sneakers and you are good to go. Stay dapper men. JB

WHITE PANTS

I love white pants. Definitely not thanks to the poorly dressed Italian body builders in Brooklyn but rather thanks to the masses of well dressed gentleman at the worlds polo matches and the dudes pulling the sails on those sweet yachts. Sure, get it wrong and you will look like an idiot but get it right and you will look deeply confident and suave. It's about keeping the rest of your outfit simple. Opt for shades of blue, preferably navy, and go sock less. Gentleman this a summer look and while I have seen white pants pulled off during an Italian winter, it definitely lends itself to keeping you fresh and cool on a hot summers day. Be brave. Buy a pair. Experiment. Heck, if you are unsure just use this photo as a guide. Stay dapper. JB

APPLE WATCH

So there has been some serious intrigue and some bizarre rumours surrounding the Apple Watch. No need to play the guessing game anymore because Apple have unveiled there baby, and it doesn't disappoint. Now the issue I have with 'techy' gear is that foremost it is geeky and secondly is often unstylish. This watch is falls into neither of those stereotypes. It is a thing of beauty. I won't be surprised if I see the finest dressed men on the planet adding one of these to their watch collection. I will leave the tech talk regarding features to the experts. What I would like to talk about is the strap. There are three key varieties; luxury leather, stainless steel and bright fluoroelastomer. But this is only the beginning. There are 34 combinations  you could interchange the face and it won't be long for designer powerhouses to get onboard. My pick? A bright fluoro rubber strap. This isn't a Patek Philippe so have some fun.  JB

THE VODKA

Gentleman. It has been a while since my last post. I am back and back for good. I trust you have been keeping yourselves well dressed!
Today's post is about a very special bottle of vodka. Even if vodka isn't your spirit of choice it is a necessary staple in your spirits cabinet. The bottle was designed by American painter John Alexander and is a true masterpiece. The bottle is so unique in fact that it took two years for the factory to begin production. I can comfortably say that the bottle doubles up as an impressive addition to any art collection.
So what is this bottle of vodka I'm talking about? It's Dan Aykroyd's crystal head vodka. It happens to be additive-free too... a handy selling point for all you alcoholic homeopaths out there. You can purchase a bottle from 31dover.com. Enjoy it gents. JB

Comme Des Garçons Play

Gentleman, let's spice up your polo collection. For a while now I have been quite obsessed with Comme Des Garçons new Play range. The Japanese fashion powerhouse has added a bit more commercialism and playfulness to this new 'sub brand' and I am a big fan. The range consists primarily of tees, sweats, polos, and sneakers. All extremely well made with very simple classic cuts and designs. The logo (red heart with two glaring eyes) is unique and easily recognisable yet the pieces still maintain an understated appeal by keeping the designs very simple. This polo would make a wonderful change from your regular Ralph, Lacoste, Burberry etc. polos. The great thing about good polos is that the more you wash/wear them, the better they tend to fit and look. Give Them a try.

This is an impressive watch

IWC is one of the world's finest timepiece manufacturers. There is something attractive about going against the ocean of buyers who either buy a Rolex or a Breitling when making a fine watch purchase.
IWC Schaffhausen is notable for being the only major Swiss watch factory located in eastern Switzerland, as the majority of the well-known Swiss watch manufacturers are located in western Switzerland. International Watch Company Schaffhausen (IWC) is steeped in timepiece history. It was founded in 1868. Importantly he timepieces are still essentially handmade. My stand out favourite is the IWC Portofino Chronograph. My favourite detail of the watch is the 60′s style Milanese mesh band. This is making a strong comeback, as most manufacturers have run out of designs for the steel bracelet. Breitling as well as Dolce & Gabbana have recently used the mesh band on their latest timepieces. The face of the Portofino is kept simple and elegant. Another beautiful addition is the three push-buttons which are reminiscent of the cockpit of 1960s Italian sports cars. This truly is a beautiful watch. Yes, beautiful. Gentleman, buy yourself a good watch and keep it for life. Some say a man can be judged by his watch and shoes. Only good judgements in this case. One thing is for sure, it will make the greatest grandfather grandson gift ever.

Dean... James Dean

What a leather jacket! Honestly Everyman needs a classic leather jacket. This is a grown up one. It's minimal, well crafted, well fitted. When you wear your leather jacket pair it with plain tees and fitted shirts. Preferably white. I truly feel that a motorcycle jacket Should be black. Iconic motorcycle jackets are always black because traditionally they matched the leather seat and biker boots. This jacket is made from the finest horsehide available and is impeccably crafted. As I mentioned in the last post, summer is winding down. It's not a bad time to start investing in a few classic winter staples. Surprisingly this jacket wasn't made in Italy but rather the USA. This jacket was made by Schott. It is the Classic Schott Racer Leather Motorcycle Jacket in Horsehide 641HH(http://www.schottnyc.com/products/fit/fitted/classic-schott-racer-leather-motorcycle.htm).
The jacket is extremely well priced because essentially this is an investment piece. You will be wearing this guy for many years and the best part about it is that leather (cared for) only gets better with age. See you later Mr Dean.
